"Mane of color"

Mister Fancy Feathers...I'm finding it hard to catch up on photographing my new work for posting here on my blog. Every day I make a plan and then at the end of the day (in the fading light) I realize another opportunity has passed. Maybe I should just take a few pix at a time and then the task won't seem so overwhelming. Hey that's advice for things in general...break down the tasks and tackle what you can!

I had a question about the texture in the front of this painting...it's alot of scratching back with a credit card or knife. The paper is not crumpled prior to painting. Thanks for the question.

Again, handsome fellow and great colors, but your background is equally amazing. ... so the scratching back was after you put the color down and you "scratched" with a cc while it was still wet? Is he for sale?
